Swine Flu and all that Jazz

So now we are threatened with Swine Flu... Should it not be Ox flue this year?

They say that the last epidemic in 1968 killed 1 in 1000 of those who cought it so it was pretty bad. Modern air travel of course means that it this new virus has all ready had a chance to have arrived in every country in the world.

So what do us ordinary folk need to do to protect ourselves now!!!

Well I suppose we should keep out of crowds and make sure we have basic medicines at home to help control infection should it arrive. Good nursing will help to I am sure.

For me, if I get symptoms, apart from letting the doctor know, my response will be to take something to control the fever and rest.

It is very sad that from my viewing of the video, what looks to me like an almost affectionate comment, is blown up in a very sad way. A poor reflection on man's intolerance to man.

Having watched the new "Celebrity Big Brother" show 2009, it amazes me how generally kind and helpful people are. As pretty much complete strangers they get along well, and seem to learn from each other too.
Who will be voted off this week is a mystery to me.
